The time displayed above is in Japanese Standard Time (JST).
Supervised by Hideaki Anno, this special digest edition brings together a carefully selected collection of original key animation from the theatrical Neon Genesis Evangelion films.
Since its television debut in 1995, Evangelion has become one of Japan’s most influential animated works, earning lasting popularity around the world. The series later expanded with the Rebuild of Evangelion films, beginning with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone in 2007, followed by Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance in 2009 and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo in 2012.
Created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Evangelion, this book highlights the exceptional hand-drawn techniques of the pioneering animators behind the original theatrical films. It is especially recommended for animation fans, collectors, and anyone aspiring to work in animation.
The volume draws from previously published key animation collections covering “DEATH” and “Air / The End of Evangelion”, presenting a digest of standout original drawings created by some of the industry’s most accomplished artists.
Newly discovered key animation materials are also included in full color, making this a special revised digest edition.
Featured Content
The book includes selected materials from the 1997 theatrical productions DEATH & REBIRTH and THE END OF EVANGELION.
Highlights include:
- Newly created theatrical scenes from “DEATH”
- Revised and additional animation featuring characters such as Rei Ayanami

Notes
This book is based on materials from the 1997 theatrical Neon Genesis Evangelion productions “DEATH” and “Air / The End of Evangelion.”
Some materials are excerpted from previously published key animation collections and therefore remain in monochrome, as in the original editions.
Newly added color materials were rescanned from artwork discovered after the publication of the earlier books. Because many of the original drawings had aged over time, some pages may show discoloration from the paper or adhesive tape present on the original materials.
The complete editions of Groundwork of EVANGELION The Movie 1–2 are also available digitally.

For those seeking additional information on estimated shipping times, please refer to the details below outlining our shipping process and timeline.
Cross-border shipping involves complex factors, such as customs procedures, transportation time, and international logistics. Consequently, it may require additional time compared to domestic shipping.
We typically make shipments within 1-2 business days after receiving your order, however, there may be delays in delivery due to items being out of stock or due to a particularly high volume of orders. There may also be delays due to Japanese national holidays, especially multi-day holidays, such as Golden Week and New Year’s.
Once the package is shipped, it must pass through customs and be transported via international logistics. Additionally, there may be delays depending on the customer country’s inspection or policies, shipping method, weather conditions, and other factors.
We value your business and understand that waiting for your order to arrive may be frustrating, and we will strive to complete and ship your order within a reasonable timeframe.
If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to check out our full FAQ, read our Shipping Policy page, or to contact our customer service team.
Please keep the following information in mind before placing your order:
The "best before date" is the date until which the product is at its freshest in terms of optimal flavor and aroma. Unlike an expiration date, it does not mean that the product is inedible once its best before date has passed. If you place an order for a product that is close to its best before date as indicated on MiauMall, we will still deliver the product to you regardless of whether it arrives past that date.
Please keep this in mind before placing your order.
